A new species of Tenuipalpus Donnadieu (Acari: Tenuipalpidae), Tenuipalpus odoratus Souza, Castro & Oliveira sp. nov., is described from females, males, deutonymphs, protonymphs and larvae collected on Cedrela odorata L. (Meliaceae) from Ilheus, Bahia, Brazil. A proposed ontogeny of leg chaetotaxy is also included.
