摘要：

The unique physiology of pregnancy poses several problems for clinicians charged with caring for critically ill pregnant patients. This focused review summarizes two problems encountered in critically ill pregnant patients: pregnancy-related sepsis and acute renal failure. Common causes, and the effects of pregnancy on diagnosis and treatment are discussed. © 2009 International Anesthesia Research Society.
