摘要
Pt/C catalyst with high Pt loading used in direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) was prepared by a new modified polyol method. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and cyclic voltammograms (CVs) were used to characterize the composition morphology and the electrochemical properties of the Pt/C catalyst. The results reveal that the Pt nanoparticles have small average particle size (similar to 2.52 nm), with high dispersion on the carbon support. The Pt/C catalyst exhibits higher catalytic activity and stability than that of the JM70%-Pt/C. It is suggested that the modified polyol method is efficient for Pt/C catalyst preparation.
