摘要
Suppose to be able to touch any object in the real world and at once learn how to read and pronounce the name of the object in your native language. This paper presents a game that reproduces this idea by using the video game means in a way that makes learning a new language simple and enjoyable. The game called ImALeG (Immersive Amazigh Learning Game) is an ongoing serious language game designed for interactively learning Amazigh language vocabulary. It was sketched particularly for the new technologically-inclined generation that hang on to benefit significantly from learning within a game environment. The process of learning Amazigh language with this game strays from previous and conventional methods in that it uses a more visual-spatial approach to learning. In addition, this game makes use of virtual reality environment provided by unity platform to implement immersive learning, item collection system, scoring system, rewards system and learn-by-doing techniques that have proved to be along with the most efficient learning strategies to comprehend language. By keeping in line with what people wait for standard video games, this game is able to keep the learner's attention for longer periods of time than when compared classes, textbooks, or tutors.
