DENSITY OPTIMIZATION OF THE HIGH-CURRENT ION BEAM FOR LINEAR INDUCTION LINAC

摘要
The 2d3v particle-in-cell simulation results of hollow high-current ion beam acceleration are presented. The high-current and low-current regimes are considered. Dynamics of particles in these regimes are studied. It is shown, that the ion beam accelerates uniformly along length of the accelerator at low-current regime. In the high-current regime the ion beam density range (n(i) = (5 ... 7).10(18)m(-3)), in which ion beam accumulates in every cusp the energy, corresponding to the accelerating field, keeping its monochromaticity, is found.
