Measurement of charge-transfer rate coefficients between Co3+ and Ar, N2 at electron-volt energy

摘要
The charge-transfer processes of Co3+ with Ar and N-2 were studied in a quadrupole RF ion trap with the mean collision energy of about 5.6 eV. The total rate coefficients were measured to be 7.85(0.72) x 10(-11) cm(3) s(-1) for Co3+ With Ar at equivalent temperature of 1.8 x 10(4) K and 4.38(0.50) x 10(-11) cm(3) s(-1) for Co3+ with N-2 at equivalent temperature of 1.4 x 10(4) K, respectively.
