摘要
This paper analyzes the public policies to combat domestic violence implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. The method adopted was bibliographic and documentary research, which occurred with the analysis of scientific articles, and reports from governmental and non-governmental bodies collected during the months of May to September 2021. Thus, discusses the historical-social context of violence against women in Latin America and, in particular, in these countries, presenting a comparative picture of the different policies adopted by the countries and how they are or are not supported by the recommendations of the United Nations. Despite facing great challenges, these countries maintain their specificity. While Uruguay is still moving toward institutional recognition of the problem, Brazil has difficulties with immediate and short-term actions, and Argentina has shown greater progress. The recognition of the problem from intersectionality is essential for the production of effective public policies that recognize social and regional particularities.
