摘要:
A novel series of eight 1-(4,5-dihydro-3,5-diaryl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-1H-imidazoles 3a-h were synthesized by reacting the corresponding 1,3-bis aryl-2-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-prop-2-en-1-ones 2 with hydrazine hydrate. The compounds have been characterized on the basis of elemental analysis and spectral data. All the compounds were evaluated for their antibacterial and antifungal activities. Among the synthesized compounds, 1-(4,5-dihydro-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(4-bromophenyl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-1H-imidazole 3h exhibited significant inhibitory activity against all the tested bacterial and fungal strains.
