摘要
CF3I/N-2 gas mixtures is expected to replace SF6 gas and applied in gas insulated switchgear. This paper presents discharge breakdown by-products of CF3I/N-2 gas mixtures at high pressure under DC voltage and LI voltage. The results of the solid by-products analyzed by elemental analysis and ion chromatography reveal that iodine element was the dominant component. The results of the gas by-products analyzed by GC-MS reveal that C2F5I was the dominant component. CF3I was converted to C2F5I under the action of electric arc and C2F5I was finally converted to I-2 and CF3I after a long time. The research results can provide a design guideline for gas insulated switchgear which use CF3I gas.
