摘要
By the means of quantitative analysis, this paper compares the economic growth of China with that of other low-, medium-, and high-income countries from the perspectives of GNI and GDP per capita and draws the following conclusion. The gap between China and medium- and high-income countries has been wider, though the economic growth has been very fast since 1980s. The reason is that high-income countries have stronger economic and technical strength. Therefore, they can reinforce their competitive ability effectively. The economic development of China is not a threat to medium- and high-income countries. Meanwhile, China has to take every chance to step up its economic growth if China wants to bridge the gap.
