From November 2011 to May 2013, GERDA searched for 0 nu beta beta and 2 nu beta beta of Ge-76, operating bare in a liquid argon bath Ge detectors enriched up to similar to 87% in Ge-76 (Ge-enr), for a total mass of similar to 18 kg of Ge-enr. A total exposure of 21.6 kg.y, of Ge-enr was collected, and the existing claim [2] of 0 nu beta beta evidence was scrutinized. GERDA didn't observe any peak at Q(beta beta) or in its immediate surroundings; the limit of T-1/2(0 nu)> 2.1 . 10(25) yr (90 % C.L.) is derived [1]. When combining the GERDA limit with those of past HDM [3] and IGEx [4] experiments, the lower limit of 3.0.1025 yr (90 % C.L.) on T(1/2)(0 nu)is achieved. The background index (BI) at Q(beta beta) (similar to 2039 key) is similar to 2.0 . 10(-2) cts/(keV.kg.yr) and similar to 1.0 . 10(-2) cts/(keV.kg.yr), prior and after the pulse shape cuts respectively. Thanks to the low background the 2v/3i3 dominates the energy spectrum below 1800 keV: the T-1/2(2 nu) =(1.84(-0.10)(+0.14)) . 10(21)y was derived on a first data set corresponding to 5.1 kg-yr exposure [5]. The ongoing experimental program, to double the exposed mass by adding new Ge-enr detectors with improved pulse shape discrimination features, and to implement the liquid argon scintillation light readout is outlined.
