Use of lattice mole fraction to analyze interdiffusion data in strongly ordered triple-defect B2 intermetallic phases

摘要
A new compositional variable, lattice mole fraction, which takes into consideration the existence of vacancies in triple-defect B2 phases was introduced. This compositional variable has shown to be a reasonable quantity for analyzing interdiffusion data for this class of B2 intermetallic phases. The vacancy concentration affects the probability of finding an atom on a lattice site and plays an important role in the movement of atoms.
