Secured and Distortion Less Gray-Scale Medical Image Watermarking Scheme

摘要
Image watermarking has been considered as efficient means for protecting the intellectual property. Most of the watermarking schemes proposed in the literature usually focuses on the problem of embedding watermark into the cover image which produces distorted or noisy images. Usage of these watermarking schemes for medical image or defence application led to erroneous results in analysis. To address this problem, we have proposed secured, invisible and reversible gray-scale medical image watermarking scheme. This scheme uses the intensity of the pixel of the cover image for embedding and extracting the watermark. The embedding algorithm of the scheme will not alters the content of cover image as the medical images have zero tolerance for noise. Hence, our scheme produces noise free watermarked medical images. The proposed scheme is robust to different types of image processing attacks. The fragility and robustness of the scheme is analyzed considering different types of image processing attacks.
