摘要
In this paper, FEM (Finite Element Modelling) simulations of mode I DCB (Double Cantilever Beam) and mode II ENF (End Notched Flexure) specimens were carried out by means of two different fracture mechanics models: TSEM (Two Step Extension Method) and Cohesive Zone Models (CZM), using implicit and explicit solvers, respectively. Both methods were compared to study the convergence performance and accuracy to predict both mode I and II interlaminar fracture failure in unidirectional AS4/8552 carbon fibre composite laminates. Numerical results were compared with experimental tests. Results showed a good agreement among both FEM and experimental results.
