摘要
Stability analysis has important significance-for the safe use of column-supported steel silo. The aim of this paper is to investigate the structural behavior and stability behavior of column-supported steel silo by using finite element method. To this end, linear stress analyses, linear eigenvalue buckling analyses and geometrically nonlinear buckling analyses are used in this paper. Based on this, several suggestions on the design of silos are put forward. They are: (1) there is stress concentration near the top of pillar, Maximum stress and radial strain is also happened there. (2)When we increase the load, the buckling will happen first at the top of the column. (3) Set a certain number of ring beam around the silo wall can effectively reduce the deformation and improve the stability of the column-supported steel silo.
