Key Aspects of the Decision About Maintenance Outsourcing on The Example of Automotive Industry Companies

The purpose of this article is a description of key aspects of the decision about the implementation of maintenance outsourcing services of Polish automotive industry production units. This article makes also an attempt to compare key aspects of the decision to implement maintenance outsourcing with actual variables, which were described in the literature. Research were conducted on the group of five randomly chosen automotive industry production units of Polish branches of global corporations. Findings of the study conducted in selected companies located in Poland indicate elements coincident with related literature, as well as key aspects resulting from the specificity of the Polish market. The results showed also business model arbitrarily imposed by foreign processing plants of the company, staff shortages and lack of ability of increasing employment related to the maintenance outsourcing.
