摘要
A new algorithm approach for Wireless Sensor Network named as "green Task-Based Sensing" (gTBS) is proposed that ensures energy efficiency through power adaptation in physical layer, energy efficient sleep wake up schedule in mac layer, and closest node routing in network layer. Selection of closest node to sink will drain the energy of the corresponding node. To overcome such issue, weighted routing is performed that considers two parameters closeness to sink along with residual energy of the nodes and appropriate weight is assigned to the parameters and it is named as "Enhanced gTBS" (EgTBS). The system helps to achieve reliability, energy efficiency in wireless sensor network as well as helps to reduce overall power depletion in the same. Performance of the proposed approach (EgTBS) is evaluated using network simulator ns2 in terms of the metrics Event delivery ratio (EDR), Delay, Average residual energy and control overhead.
