COMMENT ON ENVIRONMENTAL RISK, ITS ASSESSMENT AND ITS RELEVANCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL INSURANCE POLICIES

The present work is aimed at examining, albeit briefly, the effects of environmental risks, their management and their characteristics in order to maintain and preserve natural resources against their eventual degradation. There are many meanings and applications that are given to the concept of "risk", highlighting those referring to environmental damage, for this reason we try to highlight the importance of its management, to determine its nature, the context where it occurs, and which parties have intervened. We also analyze the different coverage offered by the various types of insurance that can serve to cover the different responsibilities arising from an environmental loss, specifically those typified in the LRM referring to Mandatory Financial Guarantees.
