摘要
The paper presents the results of determinations of Arsenic (As) and some heavy metals (Cr, Pb, Zn, Cu, Ni, Co, V) in 46 samples of river bottom sediments, flood plain deposits and above flood-plain soils, which were collected from three layers (0-1, 1-10 and 10-30 sm). The determinations were made separately in the different particle-size fraction (from 5.0 to 0.05 mm), the mobile forms were extracted using 1M HCI as the extraction agent. The concentrations of the heavy metals studied were lowest in the gravel small (5-2 mm) and coarse sand (2-1 mm) fractions, and the highest in the aleurite (0,1-0 05 mm) fraction. The concentration factor (the ratio of the concentration of elements in sediments to the value of the background concentration) Ka and the total concentration ratio Zc were used to characterize the anthropogenic pollution of heavy metals. The minimum value Zc was of about 0.9 (Motyl), the maximum value- 9.6 (Kurovka). Thus the bottom sediments of studied watercourses of the Kaliningrad region can be attributed to relatively clean.
