摘要
The all-optical switching (A-OS) response time characteristics of the C-60/toluene solution are investigated. Experimental measurement results show that the lifetime of the first triplet excited state of the particle C-60 is about 280 ns (the A-OS response time), when the intensity of the pump light reaches to I-0=1.34 x 10(5) W/cm(2). Moreover, analysis of modulation characteristics of A-OS shows that the stronger the light intensity of the pump light is, the smaller the normalized transmittance is, and the lower the A-OS response time is. Under the modulation excitation of the pump, the C-60/toluene solutions have great modulation characteristic of A-OS. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
