Spontaneous methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) meningitis is extremely rare and has a high mortality rate. Despite antibiotics she suffered a vasculitis-induced cerebral vascular ischemic event. (C) 2018 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
