摘要
The Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939 is a tragic page in the history of Spain, a social conflict whose roots go deep in the 19th century. One of the reasons that led to the war of 1936-1939 in Spain was the confrontation between the idea of regional independence of individual nations and traditional centralization. This article discusses the social and political events in Catalonia of the 19th and 20th centuries, which also in many ways became the origins of that war. The article also examines the formation of a national movement and the struggle for independence.
