摘要
The bubble flotation (BF) technology installed on a ship prevents and resolves the issue of annual algal blooms and remediates contaminated sediments accumulated at the bottom of lakes and reservoirs. In this study, laboratory experiments were conducted to determine the role of a BF model in the development of sediment management techniques. Further, model simulations were performed to prove the applicability of the BF model to the optimization of the BF technique for sediment remediation. The examination of the effective role of the BF system, via both experiments and model simulations, demonstrated a flotation efficiency of more than 98% for sediments. The model verification study proved the applicability of the BF model in the design and operation of BF systems. The strong correlation of the model's applicability with the experiment results shows the reliability of the BF model was improved. Therefore, the BF model should be considered an effective and economical tool for the optimization of the BF technique.
