1-Triniethylsilyl-1-alkynes are selectively converted to the corresponding silver acetylides. Silver nitrate or triflate a re used under neutral conditions, allowing other functional groups to remain unaffected. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
