摘要
The hybrid metalloporphyrin-ruthenocene compounds were synthesized to investigate its photo- and electrochemical properties. The study used cyclic voltammetry, UV/Vis spectro-electrochemistry, ESR spectroscopy, and laser flash photolysis analysis to examine the photoinduced electron transfer from the ruthenocene moiety. It was observed during the study that the (pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)ruthenium π-complexes can be used as precursor to prepare multi-metallocene species. The study used elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, NMR, and ESR spectroscopies to investigate the properties of new bimetallic complexes. The study concluded that these ruthenocene metalloporphyrins can be used to develop new photovoltaic devices for various applications.
