Energy, hydrogen and fuel cells

Fossil fuels already provide and will still provide in the next decades the energy needed to sustain the economic growth. However, extending the access to mobility to mankind while curbing emissions, will require to complement and diversify the transportation and fuel resources. In the long term, hydrogen could become a major carrier to bring to the market a variety of primary energy sources, including renewables, depending on environmental and/or local constraints. Such a transition would underpin a move towards a sustainable energy system.
