摘要
A novel pH-sensitive drug release system was fabricated by coating hydroxypropyl methylcellulose phthalate (HPMCP) on a drug-loaded SBA-15 tablet. Two kinds of release media, including simulated gastric fluid (SGF, pH=1.2) and simulated intestinal fluid (SIF, pH=7.5), were used to study the different drug release behavior of the system SBA-15/HPMCP. In SGF, due to the compact HPMCP coating on the SBA-15 tablet, the coating material could effectively delay the release rate of famotidine (Famo). But in SIF, because HPMCP could be quickly dissolved into the release medium, no obvious effect of the coating material on the drug delivery rate was found. Therefore, this novel system would have a potential application to targeting intestinal drug release.
