PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP IN THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONS AND PROSPECTS OF ITS APPLICATION IN POLAND

The article treats on the role of public-private partnership (PPP) in the economic development of regions context. In recent times PPP achieves more and more popularity. The cause of that is the lack of financial resources both central and local budgets for the realisation of infrastructure projects. PPP is a new instrument, which can be used especially M Poland, where underdevelopment of infrastructure of some regions is especially high. In order to exploit the potential of this mechanism it is important to recognise its nature. This article is divided to four parts connected to theoretical aspects of PPP and some elements of economic development of regions by using PPP method.
