A series of Tb3+ doped KMgLa(PO4)(2) have been prepared via a high-temperature solid-state method. KMgLa(PO4)(2):Tb3+ shows the characteristic green emission, and the peak locates at 546 nm, which corresponds to the D-5(4)-> F-7(5) transition of Tb3+. The emission intensities are influenced by the Tb3+ concentration, and the concentration quenching effect is observed, and the critical distance is calculated to be 1.135 nm. Its CIE chromaticity coordinates are shifted from green to greenish-yellow with increasing Tb3+. concentration. The emission intensity of KMgLa(PO4)(2):Tb3+ has a good thermal stability, when measuring temperature turned up to 150 degrees C, the emission intensity is about 80.0% of the initial value at room temperature.
