摘要：

This study evaluates factors that significantly influence the equivalent road traffic noise level, L-eq and develops models for the industrial town of Asansol, India. The study shows that L-eq values are mainly influenced by the hourly traffic volume. Day time data reveals a stronger relationship than night data. Principal component analysis was also used to identify dominating variables affects L-eq. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
