According to the signal and strobe transmission lines of laser pulse sampling, partial and stepped impedance matched models are presented and the formulas of impedance matching are deducted. The numerical simulation and test results show that the transmission line of different operating frequency and multi-tapped loading (capacitive and resistive) can be well compensated by the two matched methods, so the nondistortion of the tested signal is assured, and the peak power transmission of strobe pulses along the line as well as strobe amplitude are maintained substantially constant. The picosecond pulse transmission line produced with polytetrafluoroethylene material and multi-layer graphics technology has a rise-time of 105 ps and bandwidth of 4 GHz and can be used in the generation of picosecond pulses and centimeter-wave sampling.
