In vitro and in vivo development of bovine embryos produced by oocytes collected according to the OPU method

摘要
The paper presents the technique of bovine oocyte collection by the ultrasound guided method (ovum pick-up=OPU) as well as the method of in vitro maturation, fertilization and development of recovered oocytes. The quality and developmental potential of oocytes recovered by OPU and by rupturing ovarian follicles (postslaughtered ovaries) were compared. 9.2% of blastocytes were obtained out of the OPU method and 25.5% from the control oocytes. The quality and in vivo development of the blastocysts in both groups were comparable.
