Thermal rearrangement reaction of disilyl-bridged bis(tetramethylcyclopentadienyl) tetracarbonyl diruthenium -: The molecular structures of (Me2SiSiMe2)[(η5-C5Me4)Ru-(CO)2(μ-CO)2 and [(Me2Si(η5-C5Me4)Ru(CO)2]2

摘要
The binuclear ruthenium complex (Me2SiSiMe2)[(eta(5)-C5Me4)Ru(CO)](2)(mu-CO)(2) (2) was obtained in poor yield by reaction of Ru-3(CO)(12) with C5Me4HMe2SiSiMe2C5Me4H in boiling decalin. A thermal rearrangement reaction of 2 in decalin afforded the complex [Me2Si(eta(5)-C5Me4)Ru(CO)(2)](2) (3), which was evidently formed via a metathesis between Si-Si and Ru-Ru bonds in 2. This result is consistent with that of its parent complex (Me2SiSiMe2)[(eta(5)-C5H4)Ru(CO)](2)(mu-CO)(2) (1). The molecular structures of 2 and 3 have been determined by X-ray diffraction.
