摘要
Fine-grained a-alumina powder with high purity was prepared from boehmite sol with pseudoboehmite as seed. The effect of the seed on the formation temperature and the particulate properties of alpha-Al2O3 was investigated. The results showed that pseudo-boehmite seed significantly reduced the formation temperature of alpha-Al2O3. The final alpha-Al2O3 powders had an average particle size of similar to 250 nm with good dispersity and narrow particle size distribution. With the increase of the seed amount, no remarkable change was observed in the average particle size of alpha-Al2O3 particles, but the particle size distribution became narrower.
