Music education and the knowledge economy. A systematic literature review

摘要
Humans benefit significantly from music education. For this reason, it is necessary to broaden its network of relationships in different areas, especially its link with the knowledge economy. Objective. To analyze the state of the art in music education and the knowledge economy. Methodology. Using the Scopus and Web of Science databases, a PRISMA-based systematic review of the literature was conducted. Results. A growing number of articles on music education were found, dealing mainly with the premise of strengthening music education policies and the impact of music on human capital. Conclusions. There is a phenomenon of global prevalence of STEM subjects over the development of music education, which poses challenges to the construction of a knowledge economy through the renewal of curricular systems.
