Performing summer research is a perfect opportunity to enhance Undergraduate education. It provides the student with time to focus on discovering new Solutions to real world problems. This paper details a six week Summer research experience of a college professor with a student desiring to accomplish a practical project in computer science. The process, challenges, and significant outcomes of guiding ail information assurance project are discussed.
