VUV spectrum of SrBPO5 : Ce3+

摘要：
The spectroscopic properties of SrBPO5 doped with Ce3+ ions are investigated in 130-400 nm wavelength region. The bands corresponding to the 4f(1) --> 4f(0)5d(1) transitions of Ce3+ in the host lattices are identified. The barycenter of Ce3+ in the host lattice is found at 43.2 X 10(3) cm(-1), which is relative higher for Ce3+ in oxide hosts. In addition, the host absorption and the crystal field splitting as well as the emission of SrBPO5: Ce3+ under VUV-UV excitation are presented and discussed.
