摘要
The surf zone hydrodynamics plays a paramount role in coastal morphology and influence most coastal processes. In this study, a vertical two-dimensional numerical model is presented for researding turbulence of surf zone on breaking solitary waves under the influence of submerged breakwater. The main components of the model are the Reynolds averaged Navier Stokes equations describing the average motion of a turbulent flow, a nonlinear k-epsilon turbulence closure model describing the transformation and dissipation processes of turbulence and PLIC-VOF method for tracking the free surface motion. The model successfully simulates the process of wave breaking and rolling. The results of velocity, vorticity, turbulent kinetic energy and turbulence dissipation in surf zone with submerged breakwater and none of submerged breakwater are presented.
