摘要
A dinuclear Schiff base zinc(II) complex was synthesized, characterized and evaluated for the first time for its effect on the xanthine oxidase (XO). The complex showed higher XO inhibitory activity than those of the corresponding Schiff base ligand and the metal ion used in the preparation of the complex, and even more effective than the standard inhibitor allopurinol.
