Indonesian Culture Impact on Business-IT Alignment (A Case Study in Attorney General of Indonesia Office)

Alignment of business and IT is an important thing for organization to achieve its goals. From several studies, it is known that IT-business alignment is influenced by several things one of them is culture. However, the results of research on the influence of culture on business-IT alignment of a country cannot be directly applied in other countries because of several factors, one of which is the cultural difference of each country itself. General Attorney of Indonesia is an Indonesian government agency that has implemented IT to improve services to the public, but the usage of IT in supporting the prosecutor's business process is not yet optimal. This paper examines the influence of Indonesian culture, Hofstede national culture, and organizational culture to BITA maturity. Smart Ns are used to analyze the model. The result shows that Indonesian culture affect the maturity of BITA more compared to Hofstede national culture because this research was performed in Indonesia where the Indonesian culture is expected to improve BITA maturity.
