摘要：

Anglo-American social history since 1945 This article examines the mainstream themes, methods and analytical trends in social history and social science from Britain and the United States since the Second World War. It highlights the predominance of two main theories in the debate: Marxism and modernization theory. The author evaluates the main findings and limits of both theories.
