摘要
Designing of a new routing algorithm for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) is a prime and essential issue due to arbitrariness in nodes connectivity and limitation of battery power. The nodes are equipped with limited powered battery and have to be use in efficient manner in order to avoid early demise nodes. In this paper, we present a state-of-the-art design far a new energy efficient geocast routing algorithm to enhance the lifetime of the networks. A mathematical model to find the route by selecting an energy richer node as next forwarder that forwards the packets is presented. We have validated the proposed algorithm by conducting simulation using our MATLAB scripts. The performance of it in terms of network lifetime and the number of dead nodes is always high as compared to GEDIR.
