Photometric distance to the galaxy NGC 6946 and its companion

摘要：

The results of photometric observations of the brightest stars in the spiral galaxy NGC 6946 and its irregular dwarf companion UGC 11583, which was resolved into stars for the first time, are presented. For NGC 6946, the distance modulus was estimated from blue and red stars to be, respectively, 28.'''72 and 29.'''08 for the absorption A(B) = 1.(m)93. The same estimates of the distance modulus for the companion are 29.'''03 and 29.'''24. The galaxies form a bound system which is located in the middle of Tully's ''Local void''.
