INSOLVENCY EVOLUTION IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

Europe is still having a difficult time from an economic point of view. This situation has negative effects on the economy at the microeconomic level and causes insolvency or bankruptcy of entities. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of insolvency of companies from different European Union countries. The analysis performed has revealed, on the one hand, the countries that have suffered serious changes in the considered period and, on the other hand, the differences between European countries included in the study. Such an analysis demonstrates that many companies come voluntary or involuntary to insolvency and this phenomenon is not only expanding in emerging markets.
