摘要
LiMn2O4 compound was prepared by electrospinning method at a low synthesis temperature of 600 degrees C for 3 hours. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis proved the electrospun LiMn2O4 possesses a spinel structure. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images showed the LiMn2O4 short fibers like morphology, with a length of 3-5 mu m and a diameter of 150-350 nm. The electrochemical properties of LiMn2O4 nanofibers were reported for the first time in this study. The Cyclic Voltammograms (CV) showed the characteristic two-step redox peaks at 3.9/4.1 and 4.1/4.2 V vs. Li, which are typical peaks of LiMn2O4. Galvanostatic cycling studies in the range 3.5 to 4.3 V vs. Li showed that the LiMn2O4 nanofibers can deliver a discharge capacity of 94 mAh g(-1) at 1C rate (1C= 120 mA g(-1)).
