摘要
This article discusses management of Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) projects through critical skills assessment of a project manager and synthesis model of project lifecycle. In the current world, IT projects require a well-conceived and successful management regarding the continuous increase of ERP software implementation requested by organisations. A qualified project manager should not be only a project administrator but also a business analyst in order to understand business management requirements and define scope, cost and project schedule accordingly. He must develop change management skills and possess a strong personality and values systems in meeting project governance requirements. Furthermore, a project manager should constitute a project team that comprises a business analyst, a technical consultant, an architect and a risk manager to be able to efficiently achieve project objectives. A project manager should consider a synthesis model that show project lifecycle starting from ERP project need to the project end through customer approval and risk management in each and every stage of the ERP project to be implemented. As an agile project following PMBOK project management methodology, ERP project management should always involves team participation, develops dynamic strategy and efficiently manage resource allocation in order to improve people' commitment and project performance.
