摘要
Harmonic Currents created by nonlinear loads lower the delivered power quality and affect the lifetime of electrical equipment. In this paper, Hybrid Power Filter (HPF) based on Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) is proposed to compensate the harmonics produced by diode converter. The filter is controlled to compensate both reactive power and distortion caused by the diode converter. The compensated current has acceptable total harmonic distortion (THD) and almost unity power factor. A MATLAB/Simulink simulation model is used to investigate the performance of a HPF compensating a diode converter.
