摘要
Most identification algorithms of lightning faults are based on the analysis of system traveling waves under fault status, and then faults are identified by criterion formula. In this paper, through the simulation of +/- 800 kV ultra high voltage direct current(UHVDC) transmission line under lightning stroke, non-fault lightning stroke, and line short circuit, different fault features are extracted and merged. According to the feature information, a lightning faults identification method using S-transform and support vector machine (SVM), in UHVDC transmission line is presented. Many PSCAD simulations show that the algorithm can identify lighting faults correctly.
