摘要
The wireless video network (WVN) is a special wireless sensor network (WSN), which acquires, aggregates and delivers image data. Besides the design challenges of WSNs, there are more difficulties in building WVNs. In this paper, the hardware and software architectures of WVNs are discussed. An enhanced version of S-MAC, High Throughput Sensor MAC (HTSMAC), is proposed to maximize the network throughput and energy efficiency. Theoretical analysis and computer simulation shows that this protocol can achieve both high throughput and power efficiency.
