摘要
The udder and teat morphology of dairy cows has an association with the incidence of mastitis. Some of the udder and teat characters are heritable. By including in the breeding programme the desirable characters of udder and teats, the incidence of mastitis in future generation can be brought down. Culling the animals with undesirable traits of udder and teats can also bring down the incidence of mastitis. The aim of this study was, therefore, to find out the effect of various udder and teat shapes and their measurements on the incidence of subclinical mastitis (SCM) in crossbred cows.
